12. What do you like least about your school?
Overall Summary
  • - It is way too expensive, and continuously adding and raising new fees that are ridiculous. Plus, safety and parking are a joke. - We are the first year of a new curriculum which needs some work but the year after us is already better. - The workload and pace - Tuition is outrageous - Cost of tuition. - The tuition is way too expensive. - Not a name school, poor preparation for boards, library needs major improvement, very expensive - Tuition too high - The campus of University Hospital is not very safe because of its inner city location. - Administration's tendency to blame the students for shortcomings in our performance (i.e. USMLE passing rate) rather than assess the curriculum, teaching for a possible explanation. - Library is average. - Location is not the greatest. Campus safety is much improved, but can always use some work. - I thought the tuition was too expensive and the students were not given any financial breaks. For example, the parking was very pricey. - Tuition prices are steep - must be REALLY serious about a furture in medicine. - Tuition and other costs

13. Please share any other thoughts you may have about your school.
Overall Summary
  • - Nice mix of students that are not strait out of college. - St. Louis University is a great school. - SLU is a good school and provides excellent training that prepares you for a career in any field. The diversity of the students is wonderful...students from all over the country are represented with many different backgrounds and interests. St. Louis is a fun city with a lot of opportunities for recreational activities, including excellent sports, museums, parks, etc. - A great place to go to school - need to determine if it is worth the cost - Living in St.Louis isn't as bad as I thought it would be. - Overall, I think the quality of education was good and I enjoyed interacting with faculty. The down side is that the school is not as big a name as other schools and suffers sometimes by losing good faculty to bigger name schools.
