Overall Summary
  • - non competitive environment. friendly classmates, kansas city nice has some fun stuff to do. administration is very intent on graduating doctors (not necessarily properly trained doctors, but doctors nonetheless) - Integration of the clinical curriculum in the preclinical years. Being able to see patients on our own even before the cores (i.e. Surgery) start. The pairing of an older student with a younger student. Saving two years coming right out of high school. 12. What do you like least about your school?
Overall Summary
  • - no diversity for anything but small-town caucasion students (minorities, gay/lesbians,disabled, etc), curriculum is archaic and teaching is unbelievably poor. no proper preparation for USMLE -- high fail rate, lots of red tape in administration with HIGH HIGH HIGH tuition (no state support). no research opportunities (NONE -- not even one) - There are some classes where the teaching for Step 1 is not that great.

13. Please share any other thoughts you may have about your school.
Overall Summary
  • - decent school for high schoolers getting out and ready for med school, but definitely not a great school for anyone who thinks they can get into anywhere else after undergrad. lots of people from small towns in Missouri/Kansas with little experience. I think its very primary care oriented, and the career guidance is horrible. All in all, I wouldn't have gone there if I could choose again
